It was back to work for me today, and I couldn't be happier!!! Staying at home is not for me! Got all of the decorations down yesterday, except for the small tree in my computer room...will do that on New Years Day.

My best friend's father-in-law passed away yesterday....he had been ill for quite a few years, so in a way it was a blessing to her hubby's family.

Other than that...just getting back into the work routine.

Well, Christmas 2003 is now in the books....went out ornament shopping today at the After Christmas sales, and was kind of disappointed in the selections this year. Penney's was having 70% off all of their Christmas stuff, but by the time I got to the Home Store in Riverpark at 8:10 am, the trimmings were almost all gone! I did get a few ornaments, though....then on to Macys....I may be back there sometime next week to see if they have more than 50% off on the remainder of their tree trimmings.

I did get some nice ornaments, though.....but I like the 75% off sales better! I will DEFinitely check back during my lunch hours next week once I'm back to work (THANK GOD! Remind me to never take another week off again! Staying home all week is for the birds!).

Once the New Year has passed, we can concentrate on seeing my brother come home from Afghanistan sometime in the next 2-5 months..hopefully 2 months. It's been so lonely here without him. Mom is so uptight, and angry all of the time because of his absence. Once he gets home, she'll hopefully be back to her normal self.

Now that I've come down from my concert high (no, not THAT kind of high), I've had to deal with the Christmas traffic the past two days....what a PISSER! Stop, go, stop, go......25 minutes to move 10 feet! But, I'm all done with the shopping... until I head out early Friday morning for the after Christmas decoration sales! I love picking up new ornaments for the next year! I've really gotten into the ornament shopping thing for the last couple of years, and now I can't resist! I don't have a set theme for my trees...just ornaments that we've had since I was a kid, and ornaments I've picked up over the past couple of years.

Merry Christmas to all!!

Oh MAN!!! What a great show!!! You can read my review of the show here: Kiss/Aerosmith show review. In a nutshell....it was an awesome show! Of course, I'd MUCH rather that it had been Def Leppard, but it was good to see 2 bands I'd never seen live before! Great stage show by KISS, and Steven Tyler was ever the showman for Aerosmith. LOVED those 'blinkies' flashing in the crowd....I even bought two Aerosmith blinkies myself.

Had a chance to talk to a VERY dear friend before KISS came out....it was great talking to him again!

The only downfall of the show was this couple (couldn't be more than 21 or 22) in front of me who practically had sex right there in their aisle during Kiss' set....GET A FRIGGIN' ROOM, will ya??!! Sheesh....the girl was in front of her guy, had her arms reaching behind her to wrap around his neck, while he felt her up! >:-/ I didn't pay $95.00 to see your sex life in front of my eyes! Get a friggin' clue!! You dampered my enjoyment of the Kiss set, you morons!!!

But it was blast, in every other way....would I go again??? YOU BET!!!

TONIGHT is the night!!! AEROSMITH and KISS! I can take or leave KISS, but I'm so psyched about seeing Aerosmith!! And I'm *SO* ready to have a good time tonight! I'll just leave it at that. I am hoping to grab a few minutes to talk to a very, very dear friend of mine at some point who is also going to be at the show....and you know who you are!! BITE ME!!! ;-)

Other than that....nothing new in life to talk about...well, there is, but I'm not going to publish it for everyone to see...I'll just deal with my inner turmoil privately. But I will DEFinitely be letting go of some of my frustrations tonight! *insert head banging smilie here*

Today is the last day to work before a week off....at work, we're having a 'farewell' lunch for one of my co-workers, Vonnie....I'M GONNA MISS YOU, GIRL!!!! You have kept me in stitches, and saved my sanity from walking out the front door when "Just me" walks in! LOL!!!

Tomorrow is the big night!! AEROSMITH/KISS!!! I can't wait!!! And hopefully I will be able to grab a hello with a VERY dear friend who will also be at the show! :-) Section 124 will be the place to be!!!

I'm not even close to finished with Christmas shopping....glad I'm off next week, so I can finish! The day after Christmas will be my day to SHOP for clearance ornaments, decorations, etc.

I wish my brother was home for the holidays, but he is with his National Guard unit in Afghanistan for God knows how much longer. :-(

Other than that, it's just another day, another dollar (probably $.49 after taxes).

We had a fun time at our Christmas dinner on Friday afternoon...lots of laughs! I uploaded the pics to the photo-sharing site, Fotki....you can see some of the folks I work with by going to Office Christmas dinner 2003.

And my Niners are now officially mathmatically eliminated from the playoffs with their loss yesterday against the Bungals. Sheesh...can we PLEASE get rid of Jim Mora Jr. now???? This guy couldn't call an effective defensive gameplan if his life depended on it! *sigh*

Nothing new to report....my office Christmas 'dinner/party/whatever you want to call it' is this afternoon at this Japanese restaurant called Yoshinos. Personally, I can't stand the food....but this place wins the votes among the office every freakin' year, just because of the 'show' the cook puts on. Give me something I can actually EAT, and I'll be happy! I guess you can't really screw up rice, so rice for dinner it is!

Have you ever had one of THOSE co-workers, who make you wonder when their mind walked away from them??? I do, and it amazes me how far off the wall this woman is! I mean, come on....you buy a burrito at Taco Bell on TUESDAY evening...take it home, realize once you bite into it that it wasn't what you ordered....you BRING IT TO WORK WITH YOU ON WEDNESDAY, saying you're taking it BACK to TB, to get the item you originally purchased????? HELLO!!!! This gal is, as one of my friends on the Official Unofficial Def Leppard Forum said today...this gal is a few beans short of a burrito! (I have to remember that one, Stacy! LOL!!!). Sheesh....what some people will do to save a friggin' dime!
