Tracey's 'Interview' Of Me

Something new is going around the blogs....interviews. Tracey was interviewed by Jude, and I requested an interview from Tracey in her comments....so here we go!

Thanks Kim for the opportunity to get to know you better through this interview process! Please elaborate as much as you wish, and enjoy yourself in the process! Here are your 5 questions:
1) You have just been informed that you are the mayor of your city for one full week, along with all the benefits and drawbacks that position allows for. What are the major changes you would make?

I'm not sure I'd want to tackle that job! But, if Alan Autry can be our mayor (he was "Bubba" from the TV show "In The Heat Of The Night", and seriously is our mayor), I guess I could be mayor too. One thing I would definitely do is rid our streets of the graffiti that festers in our streets, neighborhoods, businesses. We're still in that 'small town' mentality, but rapidly acquiring big city problems. We're putting houses up on land that was once a fertile soil that provided crops to feed the people. We're not that small town anymore.

2. When your time is through what is the one major thing you most want to be remembered for and why?

I would want to be remembered as someone who loved her friends and family dearly, even though I might get madder than a hornet at family.

3. If you could go back in time to meet, and question one famous historical figure who would you wish to meet and what would you ask them?

Perhaps John F. Kennedy....I was 3 when he was killed, so I'd be interested to hear what his vision of the future would have been for this country.

4. We all have blunders in our past that we look at from time to time and cringe. If you could go back and change ONE which one would it be and what do you think you would gain from the change?

I would have stayed in college, and graduated with my degree in Microbiology. That is my biggest regret without a doubt. What would I gain? I'd probably be working in a lab, instead of pushing paper.

5. Just for fun, you get to pick a superhero power…which one would it be and why?

Right now..it would be weather control, so I could get rid of this damned furnace we've had going all month!

Thank you Kim, and please post your invitation and rules below:
I now invite you all to take part in this interview process as well, so that I may get to know you better too. If you are interested, here are the details: 1) Leave me a comment saying interview me please. 2) I will respond by asking you five questions. ( not the same as you see here.) 3) You will update your blog/site with the interview questions. 4) You will include this explanation and offer to interview someone else in the same post. 5) When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

I Honestly Don't Remember!

Steph was sad that Def Leppard didn't play "Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad" during the show she just attended in Peoria, Illinois. And they DID play it here in Fresno....and I seriously don't remember them playing it! LOL!!!! I must have been concentrating too much on taking pictures! Here's our setlist:

Action
Let's Get Rocked
Women
Foolin'
Hysteria
Promises
No Matter What
Love Bites
Armageddon It
Rocket
Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad

Some People Are Just So Lazy

Our Senior Clerk called me internally from the loading dock out back at about 3 pm, asking if the bag going to Oakland was in the box outside so she could put her envelope in the bag. I wanted to say, "You're how many steps away from the box, and you're calling ME?? Open the box and look inside, dumbass!" But, since I'd get written up if I spoke my mind like that...I just said, "Yep."

How some people have survived this long is a mystery to me.

And supposedly Mr. Hottie comes back to his route on Monday....we'll see!

Have a good weekend!

Photograph From Peoria

Robin called me during the Lep show in Peoria last night, and left "Photograph" on my voice mail! It sounded AWESOME! And it sounded like the crowd was having a good time! THANK YOU Robin for calling me! Love ya girl!

I was so hopeful that we were getting some cloud cover today, because it looked cloudy when I looked outside as the sun was coming up....but no go...they all scampered back to the Sierras. I'll be so damned glad when this heat is gone for good....then I can start bitching about the lovely Tule Fog. But it's sure alot easier to get warm, than it is to cool off.

Off to the salt mines.............

I Guess I'm A "Moron"

Some dingdong on the Def Leppard Forum, in the Memphis show thread is calling people who waited in line for the Memphis show "morons" for waiting, and not getting any better seats than he/she had. This statement pisses me off due to the arrogance of the statement.

Maybe some people do think that it's idiotic to stand in the hot sun, or whatever weather conditions apply, to try to get a good spot down in front at a general admission show. Get your nose out of the air before flies divebomb your nasal cavity. If YOU don't wish to stand in line, that's YOUR choice. But don't mock those who do make a decision to stand in line. We made that choice in Fresno, and it paid off....right down in front, with killer pictures and memories to go along with it, along with meeting some very cool people in the process.

Just color me "MORON" and I'm DAMNED proud of it. Anyone care to join the MORON gang? LOL!

Well, it appears that Mark or Mike have deleted all of Bako/Jackoff's offending posts, and replies. Thanks Mark/Mike. Yes, I shouldn't have fed into it, but it PISSED me off!

Still Hot

We're still baking here in Central California...but the humidity seems to have gone down. It's not so sticky in the mornings. This morning, it's 72 degrees at 5 am, but the air feels good.

I hate seeing a cat that has been run over. I came across one yesterday on the way to work....I always feel like crying when I see a dead cat in the road. I miss having a cat sometimes. Mom raised Persians before we got into Pekes, and I just loved our cats.

Another boring staff meeting this morning...jolly. The Asshole still isn't back at work...I wonder if he's sick? We aren't told why people aren't in the office.

And no....Mr. Hottie wasn't back on our route yesterday...damn it. He'd better get back to our route soon!

So the consensus from the previous post is that I'm a hothead....and it's true at times. LOL Yes, I do have that infamous redheaded temper. But only when something really pisses me off. But I enjoyed reading what everyones' perception of me is. I guess I'm not such a bitch after all.

Quit Your Whining, T.O.

****This is a football post, and you will start to see more of them, now that NFL training camps are opening....so be warned....if you hate football, I just don't know about you. LOL****

So, that whining egomaniac Terrell Owens (former San Francisco 49er, now a Philadelphia Eagle) says he will show up for training camp, but he won't be happy unless his contract is redone. Well cry me a frickin' river, T.O. What, you can make ends meet on the 'paltry' millions you are getting paid to play a kid's game?

This guy spells TROUBLE wherever he goes. He went from being a quiet, polite young man when he was drafted by the 49ers (I did get his autograph at training camp during his rookie year), to being an obnoxious, arrogant asshole in a few short years. Let's examine a couple of his past antics, shall we?

*First, there was the infamous "Star" incident during the 2000 season, where TO scored a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas. To celebrate, he ran out to the Star symbol in the middle of field, arms outstretched, looking skyward as if he were basking in his own glory:

He did this not once, but twice during the game. The second time, a Dallas player came running out to the field and tried to clock him. The first time TO did this, yeah I thought it was funny given how much hatred I have for the Cowboys. But the second time, I thought it to be just downright egotistical. Act like you've been in the endzone before, you dumbass.

*Next, we have TO pulling a Sharpie out of his sock after he scored a TD against the Seattle Seahawks, and we see him SIGNING THE BALL on national television:

Are you for real, TO? Get over yourself....you're NOT as great as you think you are. Remember that guy who you learned from during your infancy in the NFL?? A guy named Jerry Rice?? You can't even carry Jerry's jockstrap, much less fit into it.

Now, he's whining because he felt he was low-balled in his contract when he signed with the Eagles, after REFUSING to play for the Baltimore Ravens. He feels he should be the highest paid receiver. Try catching more balls when it counts, you idiot...then maybe you can qualify for that status. Until then, just SHUT THE HELL UP, and report to your camp, and EARN your money.

FRIDAY!

Happy Friday! Today is also my older brother's birthday. Jim (or Jimmy as we call him) is the brother who spent 10 months in Afghanistan from August 2003-May 2004. He doesn't even know about this blog, but I still wanted to send a Happy Birthday shout out!

This morning was DEFinitely cooler....72 degrees instead of 82 degrees on the way to work. I can't take much more of this heat. I seriously don't know how you guys with the high humidity levels can stand it. If the humidity level gets about 30%, we're dying out here!

And I think I saw Mr. Hottie yesterday. He hasn't been delivering UPS packages to work since the end of May. The last time I saw him was a couple of days before my vacation started on Memorial Day weekend. We've had another UPS driver delivering since then. I asked this kid if Mr. Hottie would be back ('course I didn't call him that to this kid...LOL), and he said he'd be back in about 4 weeks. Well, 4 weeks have come and gone, and still no Mr. Hottie. BUT....I think I saw him yesterday coming out of our neighborhood. I was at the stoplight going north just down the street from our house, and a UPS truck turned left onto the street I was on. I looked at the driver, and it sure looked like him. The guy looked at me as he came around the corner, and the light turned green for me. I looked in my rear view window and saw him hanging his head out of the truck, looking back at my car....LOL! I wonder if it was him? Yeah, I should have turned around and followed him, but I looked a mess since it was so hot and muggy. But now I wonder............

PLEASE Turn Off The Heater!

Good Lord....it's 5 am and it's still 82 degrees outside. It feels like an oven outside already. Someone turn off the damn heater already! I'm ready for fall....NOW. And going to work doesn't make it any better. Our building is like a fricking icebox. When I leave for lunch, I'm thankful for the warmth...for about 5 minutes. We need a good push of marine air to come tumbling over the Coast Range SOON! Maybe we'll get some of the clouds from former Hurricane Emily in a couple of days to cool us off a little.

Keep cool wherever you are....it's a bitch out there!

Watch The Road, Dipshit!

Yesterday on the way home from work, I saw something that had the potential to be MUCH worse than it actually was. I was approaching the Fresno State football stadium, heading east, and I was behind this car whose driver must have thought it was Sunday, because this person was just driving along about 15 miles under the speed limit, which on this particular road is 40 mph.

This car gradually drifted toward the center divider, and I'm thinking "No, they aren't going to hit the divider....are they?" I distanced myself a little further from this car, and what I saw next COULD have been much worse, had there been a car in the turn lane in the westbound lane....it was one of those turn outlets in the middle of a street on both sides. Well, sure enough....this car kept heading right for the divider, and BAM! It hit the turn lane concrete divider, and took out one of those short reflector signs that stand about a foot tall to alert drivers in the dark that there is a turn spot.

I have no idea what the woman driving had been doing, but she probably needed a change of underwear at that point, because it looked like she blew one or possible both tires on the drivers' side from the impact. I went around her, and she got her car over to the side of the road, probably shocked into oblivion as to what had just happened.

Watch the road next time, dipshit!

The Feng Shui Test

Got this from Rhonda....apparently, not having a leaky toilet is enhancing my Health Feng Shui:

Kim, you're already using 26 of 39 critical feng shui techniques. And the area of your life benefiting most from the flow of your feng shui energy is what's known as Health.

This is the area of life that relates to having optimal physical and emotional health and having a sense of balance in your overall life. There are many variables that can enhance your health feng shui. One thing you already have going for you is that your toilet doesn't run or leak. While you have some good feng shui, your test answers reveal your energy is most blocked in the area practitioners call family. Blocked energy in this area of life can prevent you from having a harmonious family life and feeling generally secure and loved.

Honest People DO Exist!

In this day and age of people who feel that they have to lie in order to gain 'friends', there are actually HONEST people who do exist! I met Kathy for a belated birthday lunch today, and she handed me an envelope addressed to her and her husband, Dean. There wasn't a return address. She told me to read the handwritten note inside.

The note was from a guy named Dave, who said he had received our three Eagles tickets, as well as his. The envelope containing our 3 tickets was stuck to his envelope containing his Eagles tickets, and he enclosed the envelopes, showing the postmark on his envelope, and no postmark on the envelope with our tickets.

He was kind enough to send our tickets to Kathy and Dean, instead of keeping them and trying to make a buck. He didn't leave any contact info, so Kathy didn't have a way of contacting him to thank him.

Just when you think the people occupying this world are going to hell in a handbasket, someone proves to you that not all people are dishonest.....

I wouldn't advise planning a trip to Central California this week....yesterday it was 108, and more of the same today. Supposed to last all week. Good thing the air conditioner works at work....maybe just a little too well....my hands were like icicles when I left work on Thursday.

Have I mentioned just how much I HATE SUMMER???

Good Birthday

I've had a good birthday so far....lots of birthday wishes from my online friends, and family! I thank everyone so much for making this a great day! I went to Penneys this morning and bought a Nicole Miller rainjacket for $9.77!!! Can you believe that? I couldn't pass that up, even if I only wear it once! Also bought a black pair of pants, and a sweater top for the fall. It was about $150.00 worth for ...... get this.... $27.00! I had a $15.00 off coupon from Penneys in honor of my birthday. Just call me the Bargain Shopping Diva! LOL!

And this is what greeted me when I looked out the kitchen window this morning....happy birthday to me! The clouds hung around most of the morning, so it brought the temps down a little:

Desk Pictures

So, here's the damage that was done to my desk in honor of my birthday - and I found out why there were Ho-Ho's on my desk....we filled out a questionairre sheet for our "Rewards And Recognition" team to give them ideas on how to best recognize our special individual days. One of the team members said that I had written down that I liked fudge brownies, and they couldn't find any fudge brownies at the Dollar Tree store, so Ho-Ho's were the next best thing. Makes sense. But damn....why 5 double packs???? With my PMS'ing today, I could have inhaled ALL of them. LOL!

Yep...I was right....my cubie was decorated with Happy Birthday stuff all over the place. My birthday is Friday, but I'm off, so I get it a day early. One thing that has me baffled though....whoever did the decorating taped 5, count 'em, 5 packages of Hostess Ho-Hos in different places. I don't get the significance of THAT one. But I did get also find a big box of Good-N-Plenty on top of my monitor...now those I do know why....I love those things! But the Ho Ho's? They could have at least stuck a candle in them. LOL

Pictures tonight when I get home from work.

Holy shit it's been hot! The temperature gauge in my car never moved from 108 when I left work this afternoon. The actual high was 105....108 is forecast for Friday....just freaking jolly! It will be too effing hot to go anywhere for my birthday! It's a good thing the Lep tour didn't come to Fresno this month! Good God we would have melted! Poor Lisa from LA would have been a puddle on the ground!

And if that wasn't enough....the lights have been flickering several times....this is NOT a good time for a rolling blackout! Damned PG&E.

I suspect they decorated my cubicle when I left work, since I'm not there on Friday. I'll take pictures to show you the damage on Thursday. LOL!

Spiders Rule The Day

Well this is odd....I had a dream last night (just a brief snippet of a dream...for all I know it could have been movie length, but this little snippet is all I remember) about almost stepping on a black spider when I came around the hall corner in our house. I saw it on the carpet just in time to avoid stepping on it. When I came back down the hall, the bastard started chasing me. I grabbed the first thing heavy that I could find and killed the sucker. It was a black widow. Now why would the bitch want to chase me? I avoided stepping on it!

Then I visited Lex's blog at about 11 am, and I find that she has baby spiders in her bathroom. I tried to comment, Lex...but Haloscan was 'down for repairs.' That's just too freaky! I'm dreamt about a spider, and you've got spiders!

I guess Rhonda will get double heebee-jeebees today after she reads our blogs. LOL!

Peddle Faster, Or Get Out Of The Way!

Damn....why is it that people can't drive, and talk on a cell phone at the same time? Kind of like, why do we turn the radio down when we are looking for an address? I swear, I must have gotten behind at least 10 people last week who were driving cars that I KNOW can go faster than the driver was allowing the car to go, while they carried on a conversation on their cell phone. But nooooooo....these cars were going 25-35 mph in a 50 mph zone. Hey you...you with the cell phone engulfing your brain....PEDDLE FASTER, OR GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY! Numnuts.

I used my cell phone today while driving....and I kept up with traffic, AND I changed lanes. Maybe those nimrods should take lessons from me.

And sonofabitch....it's going to be HOT here this week....106-108 for a couple of days. Have I mentioned how much I *HATE* summer???? I hope those back east who are feeling the effects of Dennis The Menace are safe and sound, without too much damage! I'd ship some of this blasted heat to you if I could. At least it's a dry heat. Why Do People HAVE To Get Drunk?

I've been reading posts over on the Official Def Leppard Forum, and one thing I want to know is: WHY do people feel they have to drink or get stoned to 'have a good time' at concerts, or even sporting events?

If I paid good money for a ticket to an event, by God I want to remember what I paid for! All I see alcohol do is make people act stupid at such events, and most of the time they end up getting kicked out of the venue. So why pay good money for something you're not going to remember, or might not even finish seeing?

I just doesn't make sense to me. Yes, I'm a non-drinker....and I have a PERFECTLY good time at concerts and football games, thank you. I keep reading in the various show threads on the OF about fights breaking about, and people just being downright idiots - thanks to alcohol and probably some weed (or whatever the drug of choice is).

We had a couple of scuffles break out by us at the Lep show in Fresno on June 4th, but for the most part people were just enjoying the show and the music. But in reading threads about other shows on the OF....I see that alot people had their experience ruined by drunken assholes.

It just doesn't make any sense to me. And I've seen more than my share of alcohol related fights break out at college football games. And 99% of the time, it's those jerks who are given an escort OUT of the stadium. For the past 3 or 4 years, Kathy and I have seen an increase in fights breaking out at Fresno State football games, and it's always over in the student section of the stadium. Extra security has been assigned to watch those areas of the stadium now, and we can always count on at least one fight breaking out, and people being escorted out at every game. People, if you're going to games for the sole purpose of 'being seen' and getting drunk...do the REAL football fans a favor and KEEP YOUR ASSES HOME! There are kids and senior citizens at these games. Show some damned respect to those who actually want to watch the game, and do your socializing/drinking in your frat/sorority houses.

As for concerts....if you think you look cool getting toasted before the show....think again. We're actually laughing at you, at how stupid you're acting. And what's even funnier is that you won't remember a thing about the show. All that money you paid for the ticket and you don't even remember the show. Classic!

Can't people just go to concerts, or sporting events and just enjoy WITHOUT the assistance of liquid or chemical substances?? I just don't get it.

This REALLY Is It

Well folks....this REALLY is it....I have come to the end of my photo essay of the Def Leppard show in Fresno on June 4th. I hope that everyone has enjoyed the journey through my eyes (I told you I took ALOT of pictures...LOL!). It was one of the most exciting shows I've ever been to, and I am crossing my fingers, eyes, toes for another California date or two in the fall in support of "Yeah". If anyone wishes to see some of my Bryan Adams shots from the same show, let me know and I'll post some of those.

And for those who found my blog to simply see the show pictures, thanks for stopping by, and please continue to visit. I'm sure I'll have more concert photos from the other shows that I'm going to in the fall....The Eagles, HOPEFULLY ZZ Top, and Motley Crue. And besides...you never know what I'm going to say next, so it's never a dull day around here!

And with that, my final round of Lep photos....ENJOY!

Of course you knew that I'd save the best band member for last!

Now it's time for a rant....I can see that I can't even take ONE F*CKING DAY OFF without coming back to a frickin' hurricane on my desk. The Asshole can't use what little common sense he may have, and figure out that he needs to break down the pharmacy reports from the printer. Did he do that??? NNNNNOOOOOOOOO....I was welcomed back to 5 days worth of pharmacy reports to break down. And did he bother to open the pharmacy document envelopes and remove their contents, which consists of ONE DAMNED PIECE OF PAPER that just needs to be placed in the corresponding batch folder for that day?? NOOOOOOOO, he conveniently left 4 days worth of those to open, too. Asshole.

Glad That Day Is Over!

I totally hate the 4th Of July. No, I don't hate the day itself, but instead I hate the damn fireworks that people shoot off. I sat outside on the back patio with the dogs until 10:15 because the idjits around us within a 2-3 mile radius thought it would be cool to shoot off as many whistlers as they could, along with the firecrackers....LONG strings of firecrackers. Asswipes.

And I can see that I need ALOT of practice with my camera when shooting moving objects. The pictures I took during Regionals yesterday all came out blurry. We couldn't use a flash, so I thought I was using the right mode for non-flash pictures....wrong answer, Skippy. But I did take a mini-movie of some young ladies warming up for their loop figure competition....I *HATED* these figures when I had to do them in my last two years! I'm glad to see that they now have the young kids starting out to do loops....it's not so far to the floor if THEY fall.

And finally, here's the Lep collection for today:

Happy 4th!

To all of my fellow Americans out there....HAPPY JULY 4TH! Stay safe, don't drink too much, and don't stick fireworks up your ass.....only a Def Leppard fan would understand that one. LOL! I'm going downtown this morning to watch some of the Regional Roller Skating Championships, and re-live some of my glory in my mind as I watch. I'll post some pictures here later or tomorrow of some of the skating.

And with that, I present today's Lep picture show. As you can see, I'm starting to get to the end of my pictures, because the picture quality is declining, so by the end of this week, I think that will be the end, sadly.

This first dude had some HELLA cool glasses, so I took a picture of him wearing them:

They Looked GREAT!

It was great to see Def Leppard perform at the Live 8 concert...and I almost missed it! Luckily I came back to my computer to check on the live feed through AOL music, and they were in the middle of "Rock Of Ages." Does MTV show any of their performance?? NOOOOOOOOOO. MTV needs to change their name to "We Used To Be MUSIC Television". At any rate, Lep looked and sounded fantastic, and during their performance, Joe told the crowd that there were now officially 1 million people at the show in Philly.

But for now....a few more from the Fresno show:

I certainly can't disappoint even the youngest of Joe fans! Lisa's granddaughter Sabrina may only be a toddler, but she already has GREAT taste in what she finds attractive in the male species....and she requested more Joe pictures, so here you go Sabrina!

And to my Canadian friends out there: HAPPY CANADA DAY! Enjoy your 3 day weekend!

For those of us in the United States: HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY on Monday! Don't start any fires with those fireworks, now! Enjoy the long weekend! I'm also off on Tuesday. since it's Regionals time again. Time to go downtown to watch some skating!

Have a great weekend EVERYONE!
